On the way to Rudesheim, we stopped off for a "steak on a rock" for lunch. At this restaurant, your steak is served uncooked on a steaming rock, and you cook it yourself. This was the best meal I had. We found our way to Rudesheim and decided to take a self-guided tour of the vineyards and Rhine River. We started in Rudesheim and rode a 2 person gondola up across a vineyard. Then we hiked through trails in the woods. Next, we took a chairlift that took us by many vineyards and dropped us into Assmannhaussen. Finally, we rode a boat on the Rhine River back to Rudesheim. That night, we had a fabulous meal at a place called Taco Bell.
